... the better technology
SI Scientific Instruments GmbH was founded in 1982 as Spectroscopy Instruments GmbH and specialized in the marketing of systems and devices for measuring very noisy optical and electrical signals. Boxcar averager and lock-in amplifiers initially dominated the business. In 1984 service was expanded to include additional instruments for physical and chemical research. In particular, through the development and marketing of digital pulse and delay generators for various laser applications, it was possible to install customer-specific system solutions across Europe in connection with the most modern CCD cameras.
In 1995 two independent branches of business were formed. One for general metrology in science and research, the other specialized in spectroscopy using CCD cameras. The company name has been changed to SI Scientific Instruments GmbH.
Today, SI markets sophisticated and innovative measurement technology in the broad field of scientific and industrial research and development. There is close cooperation between various research institutes and SI. This collaboration traditionally ties in with measurement technology related to laser-excited spectroscopy.
The range of suppliers is characterized by a high degree of innovation and great reliability. Our technical staff have many years of experience in the fields of general physics and electronics.
Years of competent advice to our numerous customers have resulted in a solid relationship of trust. This is also a challenge for the future. For the major tasks in science and industry, SI would like to be a supplier of contemporary, sophisticated measurement technology. Competence with the best price-performance ratio.
Today the German-speaking area in Europe (DACH) is looked after by three sales offices:
South office in Gilching near Munich, Northeast office in Berlin and West office in Dortmund (in est.).
