Der FS710 dient der Verteilung hochgenauer Zeitnormalsignale aus LORAN-C-Empfänger, Cäsiumatomuhren oder Rubidiumoszillatoren an verschiedene Arbeitsplätze oder Labore. Derartige Signalquellen liefern in der Regel als Ausgangssignal ein 10 MHz-Sinussignal.
